Event State Contract Lifecycle
What happens from the moment you subscribe through on-chain cleanup. Each real-world event gets one shared smart contract on Algorand.
-
1
Deploy
The first subscriber pays a one-time deploy fee. A platform signer creates the on-chain app that mirrors this event.
-
2
Live updates
The platform listens to the event source and writes outcome changes to the contract while the event is open.
-
3
Event resolves
A final on-chain update records the outcome. No further state changes are accepted.
-
4
Post-resolution period (+7 days)
After a short hold-back, the contract stops accepting changes. You can still read the final on-chain state during this window.
-
5
On-chain cleanup (+30 days)
The on-chain app is removed after a read grace period. Your subscription covered the life of the event; the final outcome remains in platform history and on the explorer.
